Hojatul

Born in Payakumbuh, West Sumatera, Indonesia, 1980

My interest lies in the exploration of human transformation, which can be seen in the form of dolls without faces and identities.

The ideas of my work is based on the psychological conflict of human life in the process of transition, duality and contradiction as individual or social beings. I created my own doll, then I used it as a model of my painting as an idiom; to have a deep research about human psychology at a metaphysical and philosophical level.
