Patriot Mukmin graduated from the Faculty of Art and Design at the Institute of Technology Bandung in 2010. His trade mark is creating art pieces that involve optical illusion. In 2014 he started using historical events in Indonesia as a reference to his works. His art has been exhibited in cities such as Bandung, Jakarta, Jogja, Singapore, KL, Seoul, and Melbourne. He won Bandung Contemporary Art Award in 2022 and first prize in Bazaar Art Award 2011 art competition. He was also one of the finalists in UOB Painting of The Year 2022 and Indonesia Art Award 2015. He was also chosen as one of the artists to contribute his commissioned artworks to Balai Kirti, Indonesian Presidential Museum, in Bogor Palace - launched in October 2014. Furthermore, he has presented several solo exhibitions such as Empty Unempty at Fuwari no Mori, Japan (2019), Treachery of Paintings in Art Jakarta (2017), Vox Populi in Jeonbuk Museum of Art, South Korea (2016), and KUP: Titik Silang Kuasa66-98 in Lawangwangi Creative Space (2015).
